What is SHE?
The Sharhabil bin Hassneh Eco Park is considered a leading model for preserving ecologically important habitats In Jordan. It offers country living and enjoyable activities at very affordable prices.
Where is it exactly located?
The Sharhabil bin Hassneh EcoPark is located in the Northern Ghour (the Sharhibil bin Hassneh municipality). It is only 3 Kilometres north of Sheikh Hussein crossing point.
Who can use the EcoPark?
The EcoPark is suitable for all age groups. There are two picnic areas inside SHE, the basic area costs 1 JD per vehicle and include a view of the ziglab dam where people can sit on benches and make a BBQ. The serviced area on the other hand costs 5 JDs per vehicle and allows visitors to use the facilities and services inside the EcoPark.
Are there any do's and dont's at the EcoPark?
At SHE, our visitors are encouraged to live in an environmentally friendly way, which means no one is allowed to waste water or energy or cut down trees. Littering, hunting and interfering with wild life habitat are also prohibited.
What should I bring?
If you are going to stay overnight, bring your toiletries, towels, a blanket or sleeping bag in case you choose to sleep outside the Eco Lodges. A flashlight can be handy if you want to move around in the dark during the night.
You will also need comfortable clothes and sneakers in case you want to engage in some activities. If you are visiting SHE during summer, slip on a shirt, slop on sunscreen, slap on a hat to keep yourself protected.
How far is the closest convenient store?
There are many convenient stores in the area run by the locals. However, there is a gift shop and many basic items that can be bought inside the park.
What are some good activities for kids?
We have a special and safe playground for kids that includes swings, slides and sandpits. In addition, many of our activities can be suitable for kids above certain age.
Can I book an activity on the spot?
To enable us to service you better, food, accommodation and activities are better booked before you arrive at the EcoPark. However, you can always ask our staff at SHE and they will try their best to keep you satisfied within their abilities.
We noticed that there are no restrooms inside the Eco Lodges, are they separate?
The toilets and the showers are separate yet within meters from the Eco Lodges area.
Is the EcoPark open for all 7 days a week?
We are open 7 days a week including public holidays.
